Sweatbox Studio is proud to announce the

second year of our recording arts summer day camp!

Whether your teen is a budding singer (or guitarist, or bassist, or songwriter...) interested in recording his first CD in his room or an aspiring professional recording engineer or producer, we can give him, or her, the tools to get started.  Upon completion of the week-long session, the campers will have a solid working knowledge of the technical operation of a recording studio. Each participant will gain hands-on experience in the entire recording process including: microphone placement, recording console operation, outboard gear use (including compressors, reverb, effects), tape machine use, and mixing. This knowledge will enable kids to set up and operate a mini-studio of their own at home using widely available digital and analog gear.

The culmination of the session will be two days of actual recording. Each camper will have a chance to use what they've learned by tracking and mixing one song performed by a real band in the studio. The kids will bring home their own mix of that recording session on CD.

Rates

Campers are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of the full session fee of $250. Space is limited to four campers per week-long session.

Schedule
We have two scheduled sessions. Each runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm.

Special Session -- Have a group of three or four kids ready to go but can't make one of the regularly scheduled session? We can set up a special session at a "buy-three-kids-get-one-free" discounted price and dates that work for you! Just contact us to schedule.

Campers should be aged 13-18, but exceptions can be made for especially enthusiastic kids!

Refund Policy: A refund of 80% of session fee is offered only with written notice from the parent or legal guardian of an enrolled student received no later than thirty days prior to session start date.
